Wilmington, NC - The Cape Fear Community College volleyball program is proud to announce the newest members of the 2012 roster. Come August, Heidi Milliken and Taylor Simpson will be wearing Sea Devils blue.

Heidi Milliken is a 5'7 outside hitter and defensive specialist graduating from North Lenoir High School this spring. Milliken was a four-year starter on varsity, finishing her senior year as MVP and an All-Conference member of the Eastern Carolina AAA Conference. Milliken split her club volleyball career with East Carolina Juniors VBC and Coastal Plains VBC.

"Heidi is a very dedicated and hardworking young lady. I knew when she came into the program she would make good things happen for us. I have enjoyed watching her develop into the player she has become and she will really be missed. I wish her good luck at the next level," said Heather Carson, head coach at North Lenoir.

Taylor Simpson is a 5'8 setter coming from Monroe, North Carolina. Simpson played high school ball for Piedmont and club at Carolina Union VBC.

"We are really excited to welcome Taylor in for the 2012 season," said head coach Alynne Pompeani. "She is an outstanding student-athlete and we are looking forward to getting her on the court with our returners. Both of these young ladies will have an immediate impact on the program and we are very fortunate to have them on board with the Sea Devils."
