In Short: The Sea Devils are climbing their way up the ladder in conference play through another Region 10 win against Bryant & Stratton (VA).

Highlights:

The Sea Devils are diving deeper into conference play as they capped off the weekend with a 5-1 Region 10 Conference record. After a rough bout against Richard Bland on Friday night, Cape Fear was ready to regain their momentum and take on the Bryant & Stratton Bobcats.

Cape Fear started the match a little slow to the punch as the Bobcats refused to back down in the first set. Bryant & Stratton finished the set 17-25 - lighting a fire under the Sea Devils to lock in and get back into their normal rhythm. The second set came and went as the Sea Devils' 25-7 win solidified their presence on the court.

The Bobcats continued to persevere and did not let the Sea Devils get away with any defensive errors without a fight. However, Freshman Leah Davis and returning Sophomore Madalyn Rinck stepped up to the plate and totaled 24 digs between the two of them to keep the Sea Devils on track. Rinck also totalled 22 assists on the offensive side with 4 aces to cap off her Saturday afternoon success on the court.

Freshman London Ipsen tallied 10 kills and 4 aces while Sophomore Isa Yedo continues to take big swings for the Sea Devils - earning 6 kills by match end. "We're really proud of how aggressive Isa is growing to be offensively," remarks Head Volleyball Coach Colby Rosser.

Kara Walker finishes with 9 kills while Abby Morse earns her 50th total block of the season.

Up Next: Cape Fear Volleyball will take a well deserved break and will return to play on Saturday, October 1st as they travel to Kinston, NC to take on Lenoir at 12PM.
