In Short: The Sea Devils lost in 3 sets to the Fayetteville Tech Trojans on the road.

Highlights:

Cape Fear Volleyball traveled to Fayetteville to take on the Trojans for the second time in regular season play. The Trojans have consistently proven to be feisty and determined throughout Region 10 play this year - and they were able to capitalize on that potential during last night's matchup.

The Sea Devils were missing a number of starting players from the action, but were able to battle and keep things close in every set. Freshman London Ipsen further established herself as a reliable presence on the court with 13 kills and 11 digs - finishing the match with a .462 hitting percentage.

Returning Sophomore Hannah McDowell was once again rock solid in her setting and hit a career high of 29 total assists for the evening. Freshman Leah Davis' defensive pursuits kept the Sea Devils in every set with a total of 17 digs.

Each set went down to the wire, but the Fayetteville Tech Trojans were able to inch past and pull out 3 consecutive sets to finish the night. "We're super proud of the job we did running a brand new lineup while missing 3 starters," remarks Head Coach Colby Rosser.

Up Next: Cape Fear Volleyball will return home for Sophomore Night on Tuesday, October 18th at 6PM in the Schwartz Center against Pitt.
