In Short: Sea Devils Volleyball sweeps Lenoir and establishes their presence as 7-1 in conference play.

Highlights:

Cape Fear Volleyball traveled to Kinston, NC to take on the Lenoir Lancers on their home court on Monday night. The match was originally rescheduled due to adverse travel conditions caused by Hurricane Ian, so the Sea Devils were eager to get back on the court in conference play.

The first set was competitive as Cape Fear took the lead 25-20, but the Sea Devils managed to advance their lead with every passing set - finishing the third in a quick 25-16 final.

Offensively, the Sea Devils finished the match hitting above .200 with the first set being their best at .368. Kills were well-balanced throughout the match as freshman London Ipsen led the charge with 11, followed by Kara Walker with 9. The Sea Devils earned 14 total aces as a team with Kara Walker dominating from the line with 7.

"Happy to get the sweep and ready to get back into the gym to reset and focus on our next match on Thursday," says Head Coach Colby Rosser.

Up Next: The Sea Devils will finish off their road stint in Fayetteville, NC to take on the Fayetteville Tech Trojans on Thursday, October 13th at 6PM.
