In Short: Cape Fear Volleyball sweeps Pitt in their second-to-last regular season matchup of the year.

Highlights:

Sea Devils Volleyball celebrated Sophomore Night on Tuesday and competed in their final home regular season matchup of the year. Both teams' graduating Sophomores were recognized prior to match start as the gym filled with family and friends of both competitors.

Cape Fear took the lead early on and brought tons of life and positive energy to the court in the first and second set. Isa Yedo led the charge with 9 kills while Charly Meade and London Ipsen tallied 7 kills each. The Sea Devils totaled 10 aces as a unit.

Kara Walker joins Freshman Libero Leah Davis as the team's defensive leaders, splitting 27 digs between the two of them. Cape Fear finished the first and second set with over a 10 point lead against Pitt.

However, the Pitt Bulldogs would not go down without a fight and pushed the Sea Devils to a 25-23 third set. The Sea Devils managed to secure the sweep and finish the battle as a team to finalize their regular season home record in the Schwartz Center as 6-1.

"It was a complete team effort led by our Sophomores - the perfect way for them to play their last game in the Schwartz Center," says Head Coach Colby Rosser.

Up Next: Cape Fear Volleyball will finish off regular season play this weekend as they take on Bryant & Stratton on Friday at 5PM, followed by Richard Bland on Saturday at 12PM.
