Game #2 Preview - WILMINGTON, NC ---- The Sea Devil Men's Basketball program opens their home slate in a two-game tournament during this weekend's Cape Fear Classic; the teams consists of Brunswick Community College, Lenoir CC, Georgia Highlands College, and the CFCC Sea Devils.

"This is an important weekend for us. We must be able to put back to back performances together against good teams to come out of the weekend unblemished," said Sea Devils Men's Basketball head coach Ryan Mantlo in his pre-tournament press conference on Friday.

Cape Fear enters the tournament following a (114-69) road victory over Johnston Community College last Saturday in their season opener. The Sea Devils enter as the #18 ranked team in this week's NJCAA Division I Top 20 Poll.

The Sea Devils will first play against the (1-1) Lancers of Lenoir Community College on Friday evening; tip-off is scheduled for 7pm (EST) inside the Schwartz Center.

Mantlo addressed that his biggest keys for the Sea Devils to come out with a victory were "pound the ball inside out, one and done, and win in transition."

Game #3 Preview - WILMINGTON, NC--- The Sea Devil Men's Basketball returns to the floor on Saturday afternoon versus Region 17 opponent, #2 in the nation, Georgia Highlands College in their final game in the weekend's Cape Fear Classic. The Chargers enter the game versus Cape Fear with a (4-0) record.

"Georgia Highlands is the #2 team in the country. They will press for 40 minutes, have a great point guard, and post, and are very well coached and experienced," added Mantlo when asked about the Chargers' men's basketball program.

The Sea Devils will be coming off their opening Cape Fear Classic tournament game versus Lenoir Community College on Friday evening.

Tip-off for Saturday afternoon's tip-off versus Georgia Highlands College is scheduled for 3pm (EST) inside the Schwartz Center.

Mantlo addressed that his biggest keys for the Sea Devils to come out with a victory on Saturday are, "Handle pressure, win post match-up, and control the tempo."

SEA DEVIL PLAYER SPOTLIGHT
DeVarte Watson was this week's player to watch according to Sea Devil Men's Basketball head coach Ryan Mantlo following the team's week of practices.

When asked about why Watson, Mantlo added, "Fresh off of signing his National Letter of Intent with UNC Charlotte, Watson will be looked at to be big this weekend. GA Highlands has a great post player and a key to us beating them will be how Watson fairs against him defensively and on the glass."

Be sure to come out to the Sea Devil Men's Basketball home opener weekend, this weekend November 11-12 during the Cape Fear Classic.

The Sea Devils will play against Lenoir Community College on Friday night at 7pm (EST), and close out the tournament on Saturday at 3pm (EST) versus #2 Georgia Highlands College.
