PETERSBURG, VA--- The Sea Devil Men's Basketball program will play against their second nationally ranked opponent on Saturday afternoon, this time against No. 14 ranked (Div II poll) Richard Bland College Statesmen Men's Basketball program in Day 2 of the Richard Bland Classic. 

Cape Fear is coming off a (126-46) victory on Friday night versus Virginia Preps in Day 1 of the Richard Bland Classic. 

"We're sharing the ball well, and getting everyone involved. It's fun to watch us play when we do that," said Sea Devil Men's Basketball head coach Ryan Mantlo in his post-game presser following the team's win. 

The Sea Devils were led by eight players who each netted a double-digit peformance, sophomore guard Trae Bryant netted 15 points, sophomores Alonzo Tyson and Tai-He Jeter each contributed 14 points, and Jacque Brown added 10 points, while freshmen Alston Davis, Trevor Willis, and Shaft Parker each scored 13 points, and Jerick Haynes dropped 12 points. 

Cape Fear would have a strong offensive performance highlighted by 41 made field goals, and 11 made three pointers in tonight's win. 

With the win, the Sea Devils have now won two straight games leading up to Saturday's showdown versus Richard Bland College. 

As for their opponent, the Statesmen Men's Basketball program is coming off a (118-71) victory over Southside Virigina Community College in their Day 1 match-up in the Richard Bland Classic. Richard Bland College was led by a sophomore duo of production from Deandre Clark who contributed 22 points, 7 rebounds, and 5 assists in 23 minutes played and a double-double performance from Jaquan Wooten, with 14 points and 11 rebounds. 

Richard Bland would hold Southside Virginia Community College to shoot only 36.6% from the field, while the Statesmen themselves netted 52.4% from the field. Richard Bland's bench would outscore their opponent (56-16), as well as points in the paint (66-26), and total rebound margin (78-24)

Tip-off for Saturday afternoon's match-up between Cape Fear Community College and Richard Bland College is scheduled for 2:00pm (EST).
