Men's Basketball Flies Over The Eagles

Raleigh, NC (January 25, 2024) - Cape Fear Men's Basketball has earned 2 conference wins in the past week as they emerged victorious in last night's matchup against the Wake Tech Eagles.

Both the Sea Devils in the Eagles put up a good fight throughout the game - with each team going tit for tat for the majority of the 40 minutes. Just when Cape Fear pulled away for a 10-point run, the Eagles would find their rhythm and capitalize on it to take their lead. But in the second half of play, the Sea Devils went on a 15-2 run to take control of the game. The Eagles fought hard to turn the tides back in their favor, but Cape Fear held their ground with 13 minutes left to go in the second half - keeping a 15 to 20-point lead from then on out.

Khalil Marshall led with 21 points and his typical defensive tenacity, while Kyler Harris brought new energy to the court with 18 points off the bench.

"A complete and total team effort," says Head Coach Mark Lane. "Proud of the 8 guys we could have dressed tonight...with all of them contributing by scoring in double digits. We shared the ball really well and executed plays when we needed it."

Cape Fear Men's Basketball plays again tonight, January 25 against USC Salkehatchie in Walterboro, SC at 7 PM.
