Score: CFCC 80, USC Salkehatchie 63

In Short: The Sea Devils hit the road for their first December game and brought home another win against the USC Salkehatchie Indians.

Highlights:

After getting some well-deserved rest and time with family & friends over the Thanksgiving break, the Sea Devils Women's Basketball team traveled to Walterboro, SC to take on the USC Salkehatchie Indians on their home court. The Sea Devils came out strong and took the lead through both quarters in the first half - totaling 21 points in the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th quarters. After solidifying their lead in the first quarter, the Sea Devils locked down on their defensive end and limited the Indians to only 7 points in the second quarter.

The Indians came into the second half with elevated energy and began to challenge the Sea Devils more offensively in the paint. The Sea Devils had difficulties with executing major plays and taking care of the ball during the third quarter, but were able to adjust quickly and efficiently to close out the game on a high note.

"The word for this game was 'Poise'," says Assistant Coach Taylor Todd-Williams. "The game plan going in was to take control of the game early and they did. Everybody stepped up this game and contributed to this win."

Up Next: The Sea Devils return home to the Schwartz Center this Saturday, December 4th as they prepare to take on Fayetteville Tech at 1 PM. This game is a part of a double-header series with Sea Devils Men's Basketball - their game will be played immediately following the Women's matchup at approximately 3 PM.
