In Short: The Sea Devils rounded off their weekend with a solid win at home over conference opponent, the Patrick & Henry Pats.

Highlights:

After a successful win against the Louisburg Hurricanes the day before, the Sea Devils finally returned home to face off against the Pats of Patrick & Henry. Cape Fear took on the Pats early on this season and finished with a similar result to put the Sea Devils ahead in conference play.

Jada Nowlin had a great First Quarter for the Sea Devils - totaling 11 points in the 10-minute period. However, the Pats returned in the Second Quarter with heightened energy and put pressure on the Sea Devils offensively to make contested shots. The Sea Devils finished the First Half with a 40-35 lead.

In the Third Quarter, however, the Sea Devils were able to strengthen their lead and utilize all of their depth to keep the energy high on the court. Ball distribution improved dramatically as Cape Fear worked together with ease from baseline to baseline. The Sea Devils were able to capitalize on point opportunities in transition and force turnovers by the Pats when necessary to create new and exciting chances to score.

The Sea Devils finished off the Fourth Quarter kicking it into high-gear with a locked-in defense and keeping the tempo high throughout. An overall team effort and satisfying win as we approach conference tournament play in the coming weeks.

"We played more like Cape Fear today," said Assistant Coach Taylor Todd-Williams. "We did a really good job sharing the ball. Everybody got on the box score. It's a step in the right direction for us and it was fun to watch."
