Sea Devils Look to Stay Perfect on the Road

Wilmington, NC - Back from the Thanksgiving Holiday, the Cape Fear Community College basketball team looks to keep its perfect record on the road.

The Sea Devils take a 6-2 record to Rockingham Community College in Wentworth, NC Wednesday night.  Saturday evening the Sea Devils head for Denmark Technical College for a Region 10 rematch.  Cape Fear beat Denmark Tech in their conference opener, 74-61 in their final game before the Thanksgiving break.  Faronte Drakeford led Cape Fear with 15 points.  Cape Fear is 5-0 in five road games this season.

Drakeford, an All-Region selection last season, leads Cape Fear in averaging 22 points and seven rebounds per game.  Tony Menton is second on the team in averaging 12 points per contest.  Anthony Williams checks in at 11 points per game, while JT Murphy and Terrance Hampton are both scoring at 10 points per game.

Overall, the Sea Devils are averaging 93 points per contest.  They have broken the century mark three times in their eight games.  Cape Fear is giving up 80 points per game defensively.
