The Cape Fear Community College basketball team made the most of its final home appearance of 2012 by rolling over Tidewater CC 83-71.
The Sea Devils will take a 10-3 record to the M&M Storage Classic Dec 17-19 at Brunswick CC.
Cape Fear showed another balanced attack in beating Tidewater. Faronte Drakeford and Tony Menton led the way with 14 points apiece. Terrance Hampton added 12 and Larry Sumter chipped in 10 for the Sea Devils.
Cape Fear will close out 2012 at the M&M Storage Classic. Monday the Sea Devils battle Harford Community College. Tuesday they face Caldwell Community College and Technical Institute. And Wednesday the Sea Devils will close out 2012 with a battle against undefeated and #6 nationally ranked Palm Beach State College.
The Sea Devils are perfect on the road and in neutral site games. Cape Fear is 7-0 away from Wilmington.
