Wentworth, NC - The Cape Fear Community College Sea Devils continued their winning ways on the road. The Sea Devils run their record to 7-2 with an 82-77 victory at Rockingham Community College in Wentworth, NC.
The Sea Devils are 6-0 away from campus. They will look to add to that streak when they return to Region 10 play Saturday at Denmark Tech. The Sea Devils beat Denmark Tech 74-61 in their conference opener at the Schwartz Center.
Faronte Drakeford was solid against Rockingham with 26 points and 8 rebounds. Freshman Anthony Williams recorded his first double-double of his career, notching 13 points and 11 rebounds for the Sea Devils. Williams scored 10 of his 13 points in the final 20 minutes. Parris Manning also added 13 points to round out the double digit scoring for the Sea Devils.
Cape Fear is 7-2 on the season and 1-0 in Region 10 play.
