In Short: Cape Fear Women's Soccer notched off another conference win against Patrick & Henry on Friday Night.

Highlights:

The Sea Devils traveled to Axton, VA to compete against the Patrick & Henry Patriots. After a 2 hour delay, Cape Fear and Patrick & Henry kicked off at 6PM.

Cape Fear scored early on with Freshman powerhouse Maya McDonald placing one in the goal within 4 minutes of match start. McDonald went on to tally 5 total goals for the Sea Devils on Friday night.

All of Cape Fear's roster made appearances last night and were able to hold the Patriots to only one shot against the Sea Devils. With a combination of corner kicks, solid headers, and top corner shots, the Sea Devils finished the match 13-0 - with 12 out of the 13 goals being assisted.

Accompanying McDonald's set of points, Alyssa Wright scored 4 goals with 2 assists while Lauren Laux tallied 3 goals and 2 assists. Ashley Bowling brings up the backfield with 3 assists along the way.

"We were able to move players around and still be effective," says Head Women's Soccer Coach C.W. Ponton. "I am very proud of how they carried themselves and the sportsmanship shown from both teams."
