Cape Fear Dominates Patriots

In Short: The Sea Devils notched another conference win during Sophomore Day to finish off their final regular season matchup of the year.

Highlights:

Cape Fear Women's Soccer celebrated their Sophomore Day on Saturday afternoon as they were met again by the Patrick & Henry Patriots. The Sea Devils rounded out a great conference win - both establishing their presence at the top of the conference and rounding off a great weekend of 3-for-3 Fall Sports winning home matchups on Sophomore Day this season.

Freshman stealth attacker Alyssa Wright rounded out the match with 4 goals and 2 assists as she opened up with the first goal of the match within just a few minutes. This brings Wright to a total of 13 goals this season. Freshman local Maya McDonald continues as a force to be reckoned with alongside Wright on the Sea Devils' attacking line - scoring 2 goals and registering 1 assist over the Patriots.

Other notable stats from the afternoon come from Halie Blizzard with 1 goal and 1 assist, Skyler Watson with 1 goal, and Ashley BowlingJewelia Lindsey tallying 1 assist each.

The Sea Devils controlled the pace of the match with steady ball control throughout. Cape Fear Women's Soccer is excited to cap off the regular season with a win as they face Region 10 Tournament play this week.

"Thank you to our Sophomores and all of the fans for their support on this eventful day," remarks Head Coach C.W. Ponton.
