In Short: The Sea Devils defeat the Lenoir Lancers at home to make them 4-0 in conference play.

Highlights:

Cape Fear Women's Soccer took the pitch on Saturday afternoon in their first matchup against the first-year program of the Lenoir College Lancers. The Sea Devils are excited to continue competing against conference opponents as they near the Region 10 Tournament in the coming weeks.

Freshman Alyssa Wright earns 2 goals and 2 assists for the Sea Devils - earning the first goal of the match and assisted by Peri Farrar. Maddie Lewis, Maya McDonald, and Justine Moesch also tacked on 1 goal each throughout the match. Freshman Halie Blizzard scored 2 goals with Maya McDonald bringing in the assist in the second half.

Trinay Rudd earned her first goal of the season on Saturday and was a key component to midfield transition throughout the match. Ashley Bowling also held down the midfield with her consistent defensive stops.

"Overall as a team, we played very well-balanced," remarks Head Coach C.W. Ponton. "Everyone was able to contribute."
