In Short: The CFCC Sea Devils take down the Wake Tech Eagles and keep their early winning streak alive moving into week 2 of regular season play.
Highlights: Building off momentum from the past weekend's Cape Fear Invitational in the Schwartz Center, the Sea Devils finished the first set strong with the help of Freshman standouts Kara Walker and Madalyn Rinck, who finished the night with a combined 19 kills between the two. Despite a tiring second set loss, the Sea Devils recouped and continued their offensive attack against the high-percentage blocking efforts of the Eagles throughout. The Sea Devils bounced back against the talented Eagles team and were able to utilize sound defensive strategy within their lineup of DS athletes, such as Claire Smith (Fr.) who recorded 10 digs and 5 aces across all four sets.
