Sanford, NC - Cape Fear men's basketball kicked of 2018 with a, 110-51, win over Central Carolina Community College.
Seven Sea Devils scored in double figures. They were led by 15 points each from Telligence Johnson and Shaft Parker, along with 13 a piece from Donte Tatum and Zaqwaun Matthews. Alston Davis and Ryan Friday each scored 12, while James Moore added 10.
Tonight's game was the first for Cape Fear since December 16th. They were scheduled to play on January 6th, but the recent winter storm caused the game to be cancelled.
"It was good to get back on the floor," said head coach Ryan Mantlo.
Coach Mantlo was particularly impressed in the way his team moved the ball.
"We shared the ball very well tonight and will look to build upon that tomorrow at home."
Cape Fear improves to 10-6 on the season.
Tomorrow's game is against Johnston Community College. It is scheduled for 8 p.m. at Williston Middle School. Williston is located at 401 S. 10th Street, Wilmington, NC 28401.
