Men's Basketball Stays Tough to Beat USC Salkehatchie

Wilmington, NC - Cape Fear men's basketball won a tightly contested game over USC Salkehatchie, 82-79, Saturday afternoon.

Donte Tatum led the Sea Devils with 19 points, while Alston Davis and Jalen Cameron added 13 each. Kwe Parker finished with 10.

The game was physical, with both teams picking up a high number of fouls. It led to a lot of stoppages in play, which made it difficult for Cape Fear to get their offense going.

"It was hard to get into a rhythm with the amount of fouls called today," said head coach Ryan Mantlo. "I'm glad we stayed tough and held home court."

The Sea Devils improve to 15-6 on the season, and 3-1 in conference play. They currently rank tied for second in the Region 10 conference.

Their next game is scheduled for Wednesday, January 31st, where they will take on Denmark Technical College on the road at 7:00 p.m.
