Spartanburg, SC - Cape Fear men's basketball defeated Spartanburg Methodist on the road, 70-68, to win their second game in a row.

Monday night's win follows up from an, 86-82, win over conference rival Brunswick Community College on Saturday. That win snapped a five game losing streak for the Sea Devils, all of which were losses by three points or less.

Jalen Cameron led Cape Fear with 22 points, while Zaqwaun Matthews scored 13. The Pioneers, meanwhile, were led by 19 points each from Kai Rivers and Tracus Chisholm.

"We did some really good things tonight," said head coach Ryan Mantlo. "I feel like we are turning that corner at a perfect time; however, we must continue to grow each day."

The Sea Devils improve to 17-11 overall, and 5-6 in conference play. They sit in fourth place in Region 10.

Their next game is Wednesday, February 28th, at home to Clinton College.  The game will be played at Williston Middle School located at 401 S 10th Street in Wilmington.  Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
