Sea Devils Fall to Brunswick CC

Wilmington, NC - Cape Fear women's basketball fell short against Brunswick Community College, 77-73.

Tracey Kemp led the Sea Devils with 24 points. She knocked down six 3-pointers. Meanwhile, Autum Morings finished with 13 points, while De'najah Porter added 11.

"We didn't come ready tonight," said head coach Lori Drake. "We didn't bring that fire and desire to make sure we played a clean and productive game."

The loss makes it five straight for the Sea Devils. While they are currently struggling, coach Drake believes they snap the losing streak this weekend.

"We must re-evaluate our team as a staff and prepare for PHCC this coming weekend. I do believe we will bounce back from the last 5 losses we have taken."

Cape Fear falls to 9-6 overall and 7-2 in conference. They play next on Saturday, January 13th, where they face off against Patrick Henry Community College at 1:00 p.m. Saturday's game is the first of a double-header as part of "MLK Celebration" day.
