Wilmington, NC - Cape Fear women's basketball defeated Louisburg College, 74-58, Saturday afternoon.
Madison Ervin led the Sea Devils with 15 points, while Autum Morings and Andreal Bass each scored 13. Dynasty Heyward added 10.
Cape Fear entered Saturday's following a conference win over Patrick Henry Community College on January 13th. With a week between games, the team had plenty of time to prepare, and head coach Lori Drake was pleased in the way her team practiced heading into the game.
"Our preparation leading into this week changed after taking some tough hits over the last 10 games," said coach Drake. "We were ready for a tough battle today and we fought like Sea Devils."
The Sea Devils improve to 12-5 overall, and 10-1 in conference. They currently rank second in the NJCAA Region 10 conference.
Their next game is scheduled for Monday, January 22nd, where they will take on conference opponent Lenoir Community College at home. Tip-off is scheduled for 6:00 p.m.
