Women's Basketball Continues Winning Ways

Norfolk, Virginia - #13 ranked Cape Fear women's basketball pushed their winning streak to 11 games, defeating Bryant and Stratton College, 60-49.

"It's tough playing conference road games, but our ladies were able to pull away with a win," said head coach Lori Drake.

Dynasty Heyward and A'Terria Quick led the Sea Devils with 14 points each. Dee Porter added 12.

The Bobcats of Bryant & Stratton were led by 17 points off the bench from Tyrianna Quick, along with 10 points from starter Tyeasha Fagan.

While road conference games are tough, coach Drake likes the way her team is playing from game to game.

"We continue to build consistency day in and day out, and today they put together a great performance as a whole."

Cape Fear improves to 21-5 overall and 19-1 in conference play. Their next game is scheduled for Wednesday, February 21st, where they will take on Clinton College at 5:00 p.m. The game will be played at New Hanover High School.
