Wilmington, NC - Cape Fear women's basketball defeated Wake Tech Community College, 66-49.
The Sea Devils started off sluggish, and the game was close entering halftime. However, they came out with more energy in the second half, which allowed them to grow and maintain a double-digit lead.
"After coming out slow in the first half, our ladies picked it up for a fantastic second half performance," said head coach Lori Drake. "The second half surge allowed us to pull away from Wake Tech at a steady pace."
The win improves Cape Fear to 15-5 overall and 13-1 in conference play. They remain in first place in Region 10.
Their next game is scheduled for tomorrow, February 1st, where they will take on Brunswick Community College on the road at 6:00 p.m.
