Match #26: Cape Fear Community College (19-6) vs Brunswick Community College

WILMINGTON, NC --- The Sea Devil Women's Volleyball program returns to the floor in their conquest for a conference championship this weekend from Raleigh in the 2016 NJCAA Region 10 Conference Tournament hosted by Wake Tech Community College.
Cape Fear enters the tournament as the #2 overall seed just behind #1 Catawba Valley Community College. The Sea Devils first match of the tournament comes on Friday afternoon at 4pm (EST) versus the #7 seeded Dolphins of Brunswick Community College.
The Sea Devils finished the regular season with a (19-6) overall record, and a (15-1) record in Region 10 Conference play; their lone conference loss came in a 0-3, (16-25, 13-25, 11-25) defeat to Catawba Valley CC.
"We feel like it is our time to take home the championship and head to nationals, " said Sea Devil Women's Volleyball head coach Emily Coleman in her pre-game presser Friday morning leading up to their match this afternoon.
Cape Fear defeated Brunswick CC earlier this season on October 13, 2016 by the score of 3-0, (25-18, 25-13, 25-23) inside the Schwartz Center. Friday's match versus the Dolphins will be the 20th all-time meeting between the Sea Devils and the Dolphins in the two programs histories.
"We have seen them twice, but we definitely cannot come in thinking we can walk all over them," Coleman added.
The Sea Devil Women's Volleyball program closed out their regular season on a 16 match win streak with their last regular season loss coming on September 10 versus Indian River State College on the Pasco-Hernando State College tournament.
With a victory over Brunswick CC, the Sea Devils will return to the floor on Saturday, November 5, against the winner of the 3/6 match-up of Surry Community College vs Lenoir Community College at 12:00pm (EST).
