Sea Devils Sweep Pitt

Wilmington, NC - Coming off a nine match road swing, Cape Fear Community College returned to the friendly confines of the Schwartz Center on Thursday night and the Sea Devils snapped a five game skid in a straight set 3-0 sweep over Pitt Community College.

Sydney Robinson led the attack with 12 kills, while Tress Amico put in an all-around effort at net recording eight kills and eight blocks.

"It's a very solid win after a long string of road games," said CFCC Coach Emily Coleman. "I'm so happy about our energy and enthusiasm during this game. We wanted to focus on being enthusiastic, but having control and not riding a roller coaster."

Bailey Toman also swung a heavy hand for the Sea Devils with eight kills and Michelle Escue added 16 assists.

Cape Fear improved to 5-2 in conference, 4-0 on their home floor and 7-6 overall. The Sea Devils get back on the court for a date with St. Andrews University on Monday, September 21. Game-time is set for 6:30 p.m. in Downtown Wilmington.
