Supply, NC - The Sea Devils extended their win streak to seven consecutive games following a pair of victories over Brunswick Community College and Surry Community College in women's volleyball on Saturday.

In the opener against Surry, the Sea Devils rallied from two games down to grab a decisive fifth set for the 3-2 victory. Tressa Amico was a big contributor in the result with nine kills 10 blocks. Bailey Toman aided the all-around effort with eight kills and eight blocks.

"We were down 0-2 to a strong team and we couldn't put the ball away," said CFCC Coach Emily Coleman. "But, we never stopped fighting, and pulled it out. We have been bruised and broken with all our injuries, but we came out on top and never let down. Our team pulled together against a tough Brunswick team and fought hard to get the second win."

Toman had a double-double against the Dolphins with 11 kills and 10 digs.

Cape Fear moved to 8-2 in league play and 13-6 overall. Heading down the stretch over the final two weeks of the regular season, the Sea Devils play their next four matches at home beginning on Wednesday, Oct. 14 against Wake Tech.
