Petersburg, VA - The Cape Fear Community College men's soccer team traveled to Virginia on Wednesday afternoon and suffered a 1-0 setback to Richard Bland College.

With the game tied late in the second period, Richard Bland tallied in the 88th minute to grab the decisive score. The Sea Devils had their backs against the wall facing eight shots to three, but turned it around in the second half. Connor Belk made six saves for Cape Fear.

"It's a tough place to play," said CFCC Coach Chris Libert. "It was a hard-fought game by both sides. We were unlucky that we gave up a counter late in the game."

The Sea Devils fell to 3-7-2 in conference and 6-7-2 overall. Cape Fear returns home for their final two matches of the regular season beginning on Saturday, Oct 24 against Patrick Henry Community College.
