WILMINGTON, NC - The Sea Devil men's soccer team returns to the pitch Tuesday afternoon in their third match of the 2016-2017 season. Cape Fear Community College will look to bounce back after their loss to Richard Bland College last Saturday, and gain their second win of the season. While their opponent, Wake Tech Community College, looks to build off the momentum from Sunday's (3-1) victory over USC Lancaster, earning the Eagles their first win of the season.

The Sea Devils come in at 1-1 in Region 10 and the Eagles come in at 1-3 in Region 10.

"Our team has really progressed quickly, but aren't even close to where we need to be", said Coach C.W. Ponton in his pre-game comments prior to kick-off in their matchup against Wake Tech Community College on Tuesday afternoon.

Kick-off for Tuesday afternoon's match between Cape Fear Community College and Wake Tech Community College is scheduled for 1:30pm (EST).

LAST TIME OUT
The Sea Devils dropped their first contest of the season in their (0-2) home opener defeat against Richard Bland College Saturday afternoon.  The Statesmen were the first to get on the scoreboard following a 25th minute goal from Miguel Ramos after he received a pass from Dusan Stankovic. Richard Bland College took a (1-0) lead into halftime after holding Cape Fear to zero first half shot attempts, while the Statesmen recorded seven first half shots. In the second half, Richard Bland College got onto the scoreboard once again, this time in the 65th minute following a goal from Tulio Graciano after he received a pass from Reuben Bosompem. The Sea Devils did manage to record three shot attempts on Richard Bland's goalkeeper Justin Ennis, but none were able to find the back of the net. With the loss, the Sea Devils dropped to (1-1) on the season, and earned their first loss in Region 10 conference play.
