WILMINGTON, NC --- The Sea Devil Men's Soccer program continues their three game road trip on Saturday afternoon versus the Knights of CCBC Essex from Baltimore, Maryland.

"They have been successful or competitive with our teams in our region so it should be a good game," said Sea Devil Men's Soccer head coach C.W. Ponton on their opponent CCBC Essex.

The Sea Devil Men's Soccer team fell in their last match by the score of (0-4) to Richard Bland College on the road on Tuesday, October 4, 2016.

"We're looking to turn things back around. We've got the personnel and drive to do just that," said Sea Devil Men's Soccer head coach C.W. Ponton, prior to their Saturday match versus CCBC Essex from Baltimore, MD.

CCBC Essex enters the match with a 8-5, (8-1 in Region 20 Conference) record, as the winners of four straight matches; have outscored their opponents (25-1) in those four matches, and have had three shutout victories. The Knights are led by a trio of offensive leaders: freshman Forward Nehemiah Crawford's 19 total points (8G, 3A), sophomore Forward Storm Robinson's 17 total points (8G, 1A), and freshman Forward Thaliek Willis's 14 total points (7G).

Defensively, the Knights have a duo of skilled defensemen leading their squad in freshman defender Dominic Padilla's 3 total points (1G, 1A) and Javon Dawkins 4 total points (1G, 2A). As for the Knights' goalkeepers, freshman netminder Patrick Coonan has appeared in 4 games with a 2.08 Goal Against Average, while sophomore netminder Trevor Brookhart has appeared in 10 games with a 1.40 GAA with 55 saves and a .821 Save%.
