Louisburg, NC - The Cape Fear men's soccer team lost 9-0 to Louisburg College on Saturday.
"An extremely poor performance on our team's part," said head coach C.W. Ponton after the game. "There's a lack of self pride on the table right now."
Ponton did note that despite the loss, a few players put in solid performances on defense, including defender Andrew Barton, midfielders Alan Sanchez and Lennon-McCartney Barrier, and goalkeepers Daniel Alecio and Alex Gedrys.
Of note, goalkeeper Alecio made his season debut, after missing the previous games due to injury.
With the loss, Cape Fear moves to 2-6 on the season.
The Sea Devils will play again on Friday, September 30th, as they take on Wake Tech at Legion Stadium at 6:00 p.m.
