Lady Sea Devils Lose Second Game of Weekend

Americus, Georgia - The Cape Fear women's basketball team lost 70-40 to Wallace State Community College on Sunday.

TaKwana Bland lead the Sea Devils with 12 points and eight steals.

The game remained close after one quarter, with the lady Sea Devils trailing just 14-9. However, they would be outscored 24-10 in the second quarter. Cape Fear would manage to outscore Wallace State by one point in the third quarter, but would be unable to mount a comeback.

"We have to be able to hit open shots and that has been a struggle for us this weekend," said head coach Lori Drake. "Going into two conference games next week, we must find a way to build our confidence and grow from this weekend's losses."

Cape Fear falls to 1-2 on the season after losing both games this weekend. Their next game is Wednesday, November 16th, where they will take on Fayetteville Technical Community College on the road. Tip-off is set for 7:00 p.m.
