Women's Soccer Picked Up Another Win

Raleigh, NC - The Cape Fear women's soccer team picked up another win Friday afternoon, defeating Wake Tech Community College 4-0.

In the first half, Raime Cooper scored the Sea Devils opening goal, off an assist from Alyssa Coustenis. It was Cooper's 1st goal of the season.

Coustenis would assist on the team's second goal as well, which would be scored by Janessa Annis, her 7th of the season.

The team's third goal would be scored by Sierra Raynor, and assisted by Gabby Serpa. It was Raynor's 6th goal of the season, and Serpa's 1st assist.

In the second half, Coustenis would score Cape Fear's fourth and final goal, with Annis providing the assist.

For the game, goalkeeper Kenedy Green would make five saves to earn her first complete shutout of the season.

With a goal apiece today, Coustenis and Annis remain the joint top scorers on the team with seven goals.

"We will take the win and the shutout, enjoy the weekend and be back to work Monday to get ready for USC Lancaster," said head coach Ryan Deppa after the game.

The win keeps Cape Fear undefeated for the season at 6-0.

The Sea Devils will return to the field Tuesday, September 20th, where they will face off against USC Lancaster on the road in Lancaster, South Carolina at 4:00 p.m.
