Wilmington, NC - Cape Fear went down in the 15th minute, but rallied for two scores before the break. The Sea Devils put match away midway through the second half on a goal from Nate Torbett off a cross from Muhammed Jajhateh in a 3-1 result over College of Southern Maryland.
Kipp Carriker assisted Mamadou Kelleh for the equalizer and Carriker tallied in the 43rd minute to give the Sea Devils a weekend sweep on their home pitch. Dakota Moore had one save, while facing three shots.
"It was a great weekend for the team, said CFCC Coach Chris Libert. Two games in two days, with the second coming in the heat of the afternoon Sunday, we used a deep bench to help preserve an undefeated start to the season."
Cape Fear looks to build on their 4-0 mark Thursday at home against Richard Bland College. Kickoff at the CFCC North Campus is slated for 4 p.m.
