Sea Devils Blanked

Martinsville, VA - Heading into the final three games of the regular season, Cape Fear Community College suffered a 5-0 setback to Patrick Henry CC in Virginia on Wednesday.

The Sea Devils were unable to finish on several opportunities and fell to 3-8 in conference and 7-9 overall.

Dakota Moore and Connor Belk played strong games in goal for CFCC, but Patrick Henry put away their chances to gain a 3-0 advantage headed into the break.

"It was just one of those nights that we never really seemed to get going," said Cape Fear Coach Chris Libert. "We had several chances, but just couldn't stick one in. All we can do is have a short memory and move on to the next game and try to better ourselves for postseason."

Cape Fear looks to get back in the win column when the Sea Devils return to their home pitch for a date with USC-Salkehatchie on Saturday, Oct. 18.
